Our Story
From Idea to Global Portal
We founded YourTown in 1997 – as a commercially registered project with the goal of creating a digital reference for the world's most important cities. The work began: city by city, researched, described and maintained. But as the portal grew, it became increasingly clear: manual maintenance at this scale was not feasible. The project was put on hold – and the knowledge we had gained was carried into other IT projects.
Our in-house developed AI has given us the chance to finally realize our original vision. What would have taken months is now possible within a manageable scope – with the same care and the same standards as in 1997. YourTown is the moment we begin where we left off.
